Visitation

If the parents are appointed joint managing conservators, the parents may agree as to days of possession of the children but if they are unable to agree, then the Divorce Decree will contain standard visitation or expanded standard visitation schedule.

Standard Visitation which begins on the first, third and fifth Fridays of each month at the time school is dismissed or 6:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. the following Sunday. Also, every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Expanded Standard Visitation begins on the first, third and fifth Thursday of each month and ends at the time school resumes the following Monday. It also includes the second and fourth Thursday of each week from the time school is dismissed until Friday morning when school resumes.

Holidays are rotated between the parents.

During the summer, the party who is not the primary custodian receives 30 days of possession of the child. Therefore, both parties see the children approximately 50% of the time.

If the parents agree to a different possession schedule, then that schedule may be written into the decree of divorce.
